Dear, My Love,
When your beautiful eyes open to a new morning you should always start with thanking God. He has given you the gift of a new day—a day to fill your lungs with air, celebrate him, and spread love and kindness wherever you go.
Now, you may be thinking "That's great and all, but I have no clue where to start."
When you have no clue where to begin or where to fit God into your already established routine it can be hard to do so. It can lead you astray, putting it off and saying "we'll figure it out another day", but that's not what God wants you to do. He wants to take precedents above all things in your life. That's where this post comes in, a step-by-step routine made and designed to honor God throughout your morning.

The Ultimate Christian Morning Routine
Wake up as usual (forget the snooze button)
Now, some of you may be saying to yourself right now, "Why do I need to forget the snooze button?" or "I'll just ignore the last part", and all I'm going to say is, no, don't do that (I know I'm super helpful). Let me explain, a few days ago I watched a video titled
overcoming laziness with Jesus (which you should 100% watch), and the guy speaking said something that has stuck with me ever since, "laziness and procrastination are sins because it is the arrogant assumption God will give you another time to do it." When you hit the snooze button you are procrastinating getting up, therefore sinning against God. Future Nala here, this is a lot harder than it seems, but each day is a new day to try again. Never give up!
Start with a devotional or prayer
First thing after you wake up you should start with a prayer or a devotional. You can download the YouVersionBible app which has an option to have both a daily devotional and prayer called the "daily reset" which I personally love. It includes both a video devotional from a guest speaker and a written one as well as a new daily prayer about the devotional. You also have a separate prayer option afterwards which takes around 5 - 8 minutes usually for me. Buying a devotional book is also a good option if you prefer having something physical.
Gratitude journaling
Continue your time with God with some gratitude journaling. Grab a blank piece of paper, open your current journal, or even invest in a gratitude journal and write 1-3 things you are grateful that God has gifted you that morning. It can be as simple as waking you up and giving you the gift of a new day to something much more personal to you. This daily gratitude will help you notice how present the Lord actually is in your life.
Give yourself enough time
Your morning shouldn't be a frenzied rush to get ready, disregarding everything God has given you. Even cursing his name while you do it, as you try to get out the door in time. Be reasonable. How long does it take you to get ready without a rush and some time to spare? Plan accordingly. Cut back on things you do not need and allow yourself the luxury to spend a quiet, slow morning with the Lord.
Be intentional
Your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. Be intentional with it. Your morning routine should have a purpose with the Lord. It can be a goal for the week, like spending intentional time with the Lord to get close to him or you might change it up every day depending on what you need from God. Whatever you decide, set the intention and intentionally spend time talking to him about it throughout your morning (and the rest of your day). He is always with you, always listening.
My Personal Routine (Example)
If you aren't sure where to begin here's a condensed version of my morning routine to get some ideas:
5:00 - YouVersion devotional
5:20 - Gratitude journal
5:25 - Make bed
5:30 - Eat breakfast
6:00 - Get ready
6:45 - Leave for school
My faith-filled morning routine is simple, I give myself enough time to do everything I need while allowing myself the luxury to spend that time intentionally with the Lord. I removed the snooze button off my alarms (though I still find myself falling back asleep while I pray occasionally) and wake up on time. The first thing I always do is spend and reflect with the Lord because he has granted me the gift of another day to spend with the people I love, doing the things I love.
